Exmoor National Park is the open moorland area which extends across North Devon from Combe Martin to Minehead in Somerset and southwards to Dulverton. It takes its name from the River Exe and was once a royal hunting ground. Exmoor covers just 692km² (267 sq miles) and has a population of around 10,500 people.
Exmoor is popular with walkers, horse riders, mountain bikers, anglers and nature lovers enjoying a peaceful holiday in one of the holiday cottages in the Exmoor area. The Coleridge Way follows walks from Porlock first taken by poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge.
