You will sense the air of history as soon as you arrive in the colourful town of Penzance. Chapel Street is the most historic part of the town with the flamboyant Egyptian House at the top of the street. This museum of Egyptian curiosities is housed in a building that combines hexagonal-paned windows and sphinx-like figures with the royal coat of arms of George III!
