The Old Smithy makes a cosy romantic retreat in Honiton with its thatched roof and old stone walls. Inside it has been completely renovated to provide a spacious living area with vaulted ceiling complete with exposed beams. There's a light, well-appointed kitchen dominated by the original fireplace from the old smithy. After a day's fresh air and activities, snuggle up in front of the electric fire and watch Sky-Q TV before sleeping well in the bedroom with super king-size bed. The adjoining wet room has every modern convenience and the cottage has off-road parking and a games room.
After a day's walking in the surrounding hills, relax on the patio with a glass of sparkling bubbly picked up from the nearby Dalwood Vineyard.
The Old Smithy at Luppitt is just four miles from the charming market town of Honiton. Once famous for its handmade lace, the town has an interesting local museum, noteworthy art gallery and many Georgian buildings including the Old Market Hall. Walking and biking trails are scattered across the surrounding Blackdown Hills AONB and the Jurassic Coast with its fossils and prehistoric geology is a short drive away. Seaton, Beer and Budleigh Salterton are well worth exploring and enjoying a Devon cream tea.
