A traditional Cornish cottage in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty

Millers House, Trethevy has everything a Cornish holiday cottage should have – dark beams, lattice-leaded windows farmhouse kitchen and inglenook fireplace with woodburner. This former corn mill has two bedrooms (a double ensuite and a twin) along with a child's sofa bed on the landing to sleep five total. There's a full family bathroom too. After a day of coastal walks and beach activities, the cosy sitting room is the perfect place to curl up on chintz armchairs in front of the blazing fire. Designated parking and shared garden with patio and stream.

Start the day around the pine table in the family kitchen, enjoying tasty local sausages, bacon and free range eggs. Then load up the dishwasher and set off to explore this idyllic coastal area.

Millers House, Trethevy is near historic Tintagel at St Nectan's Glen. This charming property is surrounded by 20 acres of gardens and woodland with lovely walks down the National Trust-owned Rocky Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Visit in spring for primroses and bluebells. Bossiney Cove is on the doorstep for surfing and Boscastle is nearby for shops and restaurants. Just a mile away is Tintagel, home of the legendary King Arthur's Castle, reached via a new footbridge. Kids will love to climb and explore the ruins. Padstow, Bude, the Eden Project and the Camel Estuary are all within a 45-minute drive.
