In 2014 the Wed magazine has chosen Trereife as the location for hosting their much talked-about Wed Show which talks place the first Sunday in April. The beautiful Trereife Estate near Penzance has become one of the top event locations in Cornwall for many prestigious events.
Wed Magazine promotes the Wed Show at Trereife
Wed is one of the UK's leading magazines for brides, with ideas on the latest hair and makeup tips, themed receptions, must-see venues and plenty of wedding planning tips. The magazine is crammed with wedding dress designs for you to narrow down the options, from Gatsby inspired fashions to beautifully embellished dresses. It also shows the latest ideas for the groom's wedding wardrobe and style tips.
Naturally as Cornwall's top wedding magazine, this Wed Show will attract the very best suppliers coming together to showcase what they can offer. The event runs from 11am to 4pm and provides a great day out for anyone with an interest in planning a wedding. There are prize giveaways and more at this free event.
What the Wed Show offers you
The idea of the Wed Show is to bring the magazine photos and ideas into real life with over 70 quality wedding suppliers on hand to exhibit their own particular specialty. Wedding gown designers, bridal boutiques, stationers, photographers, florists, beauticians, caterers, wedding organizers and more will all have trade stands. Hotels and events locations will also be present to tempt couples planning their wedding to consider their venues either for the ceremony or the reception afterwards.
Being able to pick up literature and talk to each exhibitor gives brides a much more in-depth look at what they have to offer. It is also the perfect opportunity to ask questions about your dream wedding ideas and develop some new ideas.
The Wed Show has visited Cornwall before with highly successful wedding fairs at Gonwin Manor near St Ives and at the Headland Hotel in Newquay. It is an inspiring and stylish event to give any future bride some wonderful new ideas for their very special day.
Trereife Park makes a dream wedding location
Trereife (pronounced Treave) provides a wonderfully romantic setting with a grand restored Queen Anne mansion set in its own extensive gardens and estate. The Wed Show is accommodated in a large marquee, decorated to set the scene for any grand summer wedding.
The Grade 2 listed manor house remains a much-loved family home but is available for tours during the summer season. Still owned by the 7th generation of the Le Grice family, the current owner, Tim, was featured on the popular Channel 4 program of Country House Rescue. It highlighted the enormous cost and responsibility of upkeeping this beautiful estate and featured new ideas such as the Wed Fair to help pay for the upkeep. The Trereife Estate has been part of the Le Grice family since 1798.
Visiting the Wed Show is an unmissable opportunity to look around the Trereife Estate as it is available as a wedding venue. Like me, I'm sure you will be impressed from the moment you enter the grand gates of the estate and see the elegant country house. It provides an unforgettable setting for a wedding ceremony, either indoors in one of the beautifully furnished rooms, outdoors or in a marquee. The gardens make a stunning backdrop for wedding photographs and caterers will provide a wonderful reception.
Trereife also offers luxurious bed and breakfast accommodation for guests in the manor house and in the adjoining courtyard block. Where better to spend a honeymoon than in one of their grand bedrooms, named after the romantic poets. Each spacious and beautifully decorated bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom and views of the Trereife estate. After a visit to the Wed Show at Trereife it will certainly be a tempting option!
Have you attended a function or event at Trereife? We'd love to hear more about your impressions of this historic house and gardens. Have you any tips for brides-to-be planning to get married in Cornwall?
