With its exposed beams and multiple windows, The Barn, 22 At The Beach, Torcross is a lovely place to spend time. Parquet wood flooring complements the modern grey kitchen units in the open dining / living area of this former coach house There's a squishy L-shaped sofa in front of the TV, two modern bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen is superbly fitted and equipped to inspire keen cooks to create delicious dishes from local seafood. The ground floor master has an ensuite shower room, king-size bed, window seat and a quiet sitting area for reading. The first floor has a spacious twin bedroom and family bathroom with shower over bath.

Wake up in the bright master bedroom and enjoy a morning cuppa in the floral armchair with footstool. It's a gentle way to start each new day's adventures.

The Barn, 22 At The Beach is in the tiny coastal hamlet of Torcross which has a farm shop and pub. It's on the edge of Slapton Ley National Nature Reserve, a haven for walkers and bird spotting. The three-mile beach is mainly shingle and is ideal for long scenic walks. Continue along the South West Coastal Path to Slapton Sands with its WW2 Tank Monument, sandy beach and pub. Visit Kingsbridge and the sailing mecca of Salcombe or spend the day in historic Dartmouth (nine miles away) with its Steam Railway to Paignton, naval college and many lovely fish restaurants. Rent kayaks or take a cruise up the Dart Valley, stopping off at National Trust Greenway.
