The Roundhouse, West Anstey started life as a stonebuilt threshing barn and has been sensitively converted into a luxury holiday home. Gleaming wood flooring and floor-to-ceiling windows grace the bright circular living room. It features grey sofas, a fireplace with woodburner, formal dining area and well-stocked bookshelves beneath the iconic pitched roof. Ideal for six guests, there’s a king-size bedroom with sleigh bed and separate shower room on the ground floor and a double ensuite and twin bedroom with family bathroom upstairs. Outdoors there’s an enclosed garden enjoying endless rural views and a paved terrace with seating and dining table.
Perch at the island bar in the fully-equipped kitchen and sample pre-dinner appetisers. Savour local artisan Beenleigh Blue and Sharpham cheeses and spicy hog’s pudding washed down with sparkling cider.
The Roundhouse, West Anstey is perfect for exploring Exmoor on country walksfrom the door. Set on a 13-acre smallholding, kids will love meeting the free-range chickens, sheep and pigs.
