Penveron, Dittisham is a short stroll from the River Dart where you can hire boats and take to the water. Play ball games in the garden and adjoining field or go crabbing from the quay. Visit Dartmouth with its black-and-white buildings, Royal Naval College, fish restaurants and gift shops. There's always something happening in this lovely town. Take the ferry to Greenway, National Trust home of Agatha Christie, or ride the steam railway to Paignton. Nearest beaches are at Castle Cove (eight miles) or beautiful Slapton Sands (nine miles).
