Just a short walk away is the coastal path and Berry Head Nature Reserve – 170 acres of unspoilt scenery with nature trails, a Napoleonic fort and the UK’s shortest lighthouse on the clifftop. For restaurants, cafés and shops look no further than Brixham which has an interesting museum too. There’s a local sandy beach just a few hundred metres away and a seawater pool at Shoalstone (1½ miles).Take a boat trip from the harbour (Dartmouth here we come!) or spend the day in the beautiful historic house and gardens at Coleton Fishacre (four miles away).
