In the opposite direction, Brixham is a ten-minute walk to the shops, museum and harbour restaurants. Take the ferry to Dartmouth or head to Breakwater Beach and the saltwater pool at Shoalstone just past the marina. Berry Head Nature Reserve has plenty of footpaths, wildlife and the UK’s shortest lighthouse on the headland. Visit Churston Golf Course, explore the coastal gardens at National trust Coleton Fishacre and the former home of Agatha Christie at Greenway (four miles).
