A network of footpaths and bike trails starts right outside the door. Walk two miles to local village pubs at Culmstock and Hemyock for tasty home-cooked meals and the village shop. The lace-making town of Honiton and pretty Ottery St Mary are 15 minutes away by car. Honiton has a weekly market and both places have excellent tea rooms. Taunton is 13 miles away with its own theatre, cricket ground, race course and museum.
