For surfing, head to Westward Ho! with its saltwater pool, rock pools and miles of firm golden sand. Bideford is a historic town nearby with a pannier market, shops and a quay. Book a sailing to Lundy Island for the day and see puffins or spend a day at Broomhill Sculpture Gardens with over 300 exhibits.
