At low tide, Tregantle Beach offers four miles of firm golden sand for walking, sunbathing and surfing. Portwrinkle village has a hotel with restaurant, indoor leisure club and a nine-hole golf course. There's a pub and local shop for necessities, or you can order supermarket deliveries as part of your away-from-it-all escape. If you feel the need to explore, the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan are less than 30 minutes away. Port Eliot Gardens (five miles) are open daily and Adrenalin Quarry (nine miles) has ziplines and coasteering.
