Part of the historic port area of historic Charlestown, Chewidden is a delightful one bedroom detached stone cottage with a high quality finish. There’s a bright open-plan living room with tasteful beige sofa, bistro table and wood flooring. WiFi makes it easy to enjoy the Smart TV or internet radio with Bluetooth streaming. The grey gloss kitchen is a delight to use and has plenty of storage and appliances for rustling up breakfast or tasty meals. Upstairs there’s a gallery with a king-size bedroom beneath the sloping beams. The adjoining wet room has a walk-in tiled shower. The cottage also has off-road parking.

This tranquil setting is perfect for a romantic break at any time of year. It encourages a slower pace of life in an idyllic village with Georgian properties clustered around the pretty harbour.

Situated in the Merchants Quarter, Chewidden, Charlestown is just steps from the historic port. It often has tall sailing ships moored and historic dramas such as Poldark being filmed on the quay. Charlestown has a small sand and pebble beach and a Shipwreck Treasure Museum filled with exhibits recalling local history, smuggling and shipwrecks. It’s a must-see! The compact harbour is surrounded by a choice of pubs, cafΓ©s and fine restaurants just a short stroll from this delightful cottage. Beyond the village, the Eden Project (three miles) and Lost Gardens of Heligan (seven miles) provide a full day of engaging activities along with local beaches and scenic coastal walks.
