The Bakehouse, Port Isaac is a cosy one bedroom cottage retreat in the heart of Port Isaac. Beamed ceilings and exposed stone walls add character to this romantic retreat. There's an open plan kitchen, dining and living area, all nicely furnished and well equipped for rustling up meals of seafood bought fresh from the local fishmonger. In cooler months, snuggle up in front of the logburner set in the original inglenook fireplace and reminisce about the day's adventures. Upstairs, there's a double bedroom and adjacent shower room. Public parking nearby.
The pretty cottage is ideal for exploring the narrow streets of Port Isaac on foot (including Squeezy Belly Alley), frequenting cafes for breakfast and Michelin star restaurants for dinner.
The Bakehouse, Port Isaac is just steps from the old harbour, pubs and beach. It's also close to the coast path for scenic rambles in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The sheltered sandy beach at Port Gaverne is ideal for kayaking, swimming and coasteering. For surfing and watersports, head over to Polzeath and Rock, five miles away. Nature lovers and bicycle riders will enjoy the traffic-free Camel Trail which leads to Bodmin, home of a historic museum and gaol. Further along the coast is the historic clifftop village of Tintagel with its Old Post Office (NT) and cantilever footbridge to the castle.
