Walk along the coastal footpath to St Agnes and visit the local museum to learn about the local mines and "wheals". National Trust owned Chapel Porth Beach is beautifully unspoilt or you can head to Newquay for surfing beaches, festivals, shops and the Blue Reef Aquarium (15 miles away). Visit the Eden Project (30 miles) with its huge biomes housing tropical rainforest and Mediterranean plants. The recreated environment includes a waterfall, fruiting pineapples, rubber trees and more.
