Accessed via a mile-long private road, the lighthouse was built in 1847 and is now automated and managed by Trinity House. It offers stunning walks along the coast path to Harlyn or Porthcothan. One of four cottages in the lighthouse complex, it is four miles from Padstow with its narrow streets, galleries, harbour and upscale fish restaurants.
