Wish You Were Here is handy for the National Trust-owned sandy beach at Crantock. There's Surf Shop in the village and a beach shop on the sands. The River Gannel flows into the sea here and the estuary is a haven for many birds. It's also popular for kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding. Newquay's supermarkets, pubs, harbour and attractions are just three miles away. As well as being a hub for nightlife, it offers boat trips, several more beautiful surfing beaches, a zoo and award-winning Blue Reef Aquarium. Adventurers should head to Newquay Activity Centre for coasteering, rapelling down the cliffs and paddleboarding safaris.
