In 30 minutes you can be paddling on Crackington Haven beach or enjoying watersports at nearby Bude. The town has shops, pubs, amusements and take-aways. Walkers can head to the Camel Trail at Bodmin and cycle the former rail-trail to Wadebridge and Padstow. Closer to home, Tintagel has castle ruins and the National Trust Old Post Office (12 miles) and Port Isaac is an idyllic harbour made famous by TV's Doc Martin.
