The kitchen has everything you need for home-cooked dinners using the AGA (instruction manual provided). Or use the microwave and fridge/freezer to take a day off from cooking. There’s a washing machine for freshening up your clothes and the dishwasher means you won’t waste any of your holiday time doing the washing up. The patio, with its awesome sea views, is the perfect spot for an al fresco meal. The house has WiFi, private off-road parking, and a charging point for electric cars. In the cooler months, the central heating and wood-burning stove ensure that the place is cosy and warm.
After a busy day exploring the beautiful West Cornwall coastline in the Land’s End Peninsula, settle back on the terrace and enjoy an evening drink as you take in the beauty of the sea and the fields. Then take the gentle three minutes stroll to enjoy an evening meal at the local gastro-pub.
Back of Beyond, Porthmear is a short drive from the beautiful seaside town of St Ives. It is considered to be the ‘jewel in the crown’ of West Cornwall, with its pretty harbour and sandy beaches. Famous for its literary and arts scene, it is home to many art galleries including the Tate St Ives, a ‘must do’ for visitors to the town. A fifteen-minute drive to the other side of the peninsula will take you to Penzance. The town is home to the stunning Jubilee Pool, an Art Deco Lido that house the UK’s only geothermal pool. You can stroll across the causeway to the historic St Michaels Mount or take in a show at the world-famous, open-air Minack Theatre. Of course, no visit to the peninsula would be complete without a trip to Land’s End to get your souvenir photo at the iconic signpost.
