The Old Ice House is a fantastic three-storey property in the heart of Brixham. The house has flexible sleeping arrangements, and each floor has a bedroom and a bathroom to match, so there’s plenty of space for eight. The largest room is on the top floor. It sleeps four – ideal for a family or older children to share – and enjoys stunning views across the harbour to Torquay. This view can also be enjoyed from the open plan living space, where you’ll find a light, airy lounge, fully equipped kitchen, and elegant dining area. Plus, there’s a choice of outside spaces, a ground-floor courtyard and a roof terrace with seating for eight.
Pour a drink and head to the roof terrace to relax as the sun sets. Watch as the birds return to their cliffside nests and the bats emerge with the dusk.
The Old Ice House sits beside Brixham’s bustling harbour, just a short walk from the town centre and Breakwater Beach. Spend your days crabbing off the harbour walls, watching for seals, observing the fishing boats or exploring the town’s historic buildings, traditional shops and pubs. Hike along the South West Coast Path to explore Berry Head Nature Reserve with its lighthouse, open water swimming pool, and secluded coves. Or visit the other famous towns of the English Riviera, Paignton, with its endless beach (9 km), charming Cockington (14 km), and vibrant Torquay (14 km).
