For surfing lessons, paddleboarding and watersports, Polzeath and Rock are ten minutes' drive away. Hire bicycles and explore the Camel Trail from Wadebridge to Bodmin, a historic town with gaol and museum. The National Trust Lanhydrock Estate and Gardens are always worth a visit. Bodmin Moor is excellent for hiking and wildlife spotting while Tintagel castle ruins have a long history connected with King Arthur. Padstow is ideal for crabbing, boat trips and some of the best fish and chips in the area.
