The beach at Westward Ho! 20 minutes away provides carefree days building sandcastles, rockpooling and bodyboarding. Explore the pretty town of Bideford with its park, pannier market and Quay. There are regular sailings to National Trust's Lundy Island aboard the MS Oldenburg. Spot puffins, seals and Sika deer. Appledore has narrow streets, galleries and cafes to explore and the Big Sheep is a fun theme park for all ages. Marwood Hill Gardens and Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park are also worth a visit.
