Surrounded by countryside with distant sea views, Magpie Cottage, St Teath is the epitome of a Cornish cottage. Exposed stone, ceiling beams and a woodburner make the sitting room a cosy space to relax while the dining room overlooks the sunny cottage garden. The modern kitchen is fully equipped right down to a dishwasher and washing machine. The snug is perfect for quiet reading or catching up with emails. There's an old Aga on display too. There's a king-size master ensuite on the ground floor with two more upstairs, comfortably sleeping six guests.
Kids can play in the extensive garden while adults relax on the patio sipping long fruity drinks and sharing gossip on the sun-kissed patio.
Magpie Cottage, St Teath is in a breathtakingly rural area near the coast path for traffic-free walks with nature. Walk to the village pub and shop or head to Port Isaac (aka Port Wenn!) home of TVs Doc Martin with many familiar cottages and landmarks. The narrow streets including Squeezy Belly Alley are lined with studios, gift shops and cafes. There's a small beach in the harbour but the best places for surfing and watersports are Trebarwith Strand, Rock and Polzeath. Head to Tintagel 20 minutes away and cross the new foot bridge to King Arthur's Castle. Explore the 14th century NT Old Post Office or relax in local tearooms. The stunning coastline has many sandy beaches for swimming and surfing.
