Half a mile away, Rockham Beach with its sandy cove and shipwreck can be reached down steps. In the other direction, the thtee miles of award-winning golden sands at Woolacombe are perfect for surfing, swimming and ball games. The nearby village has a selection of cafés, bars, restaurants and shops. Watermouth Castle theme park (nine miles), Combe Martin Wildlife Park and the Victorian resort of Ilfracombe (five miles) provide plenty of things to do.
