Retaining a rustic exterior, the stone barn has a bright open-plan interior with open beams and French doors flooding the living space with natural light. Curl up on leather sofas warmed by the logburner and admire valley views. The main bedroom on the ground floor has a super king-size bed which can be converted to twin beds. A ladder staircase leads to the loft with futons and a mezzanine gallery with twin beds – ideal for teenagers.There's a family bathroom on the ground floor with power shower over the bath and a toilet on the first floor.

Enjoy casual dining in the modern eat-in kitchen or opt for al fresco dining on the private west-facing terrace with rural views. It's the perfect place to enjoy sunsets.

Apple Barn, East Portlemouth is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty looking down the valley to Salcombe. There are several sandy beaches within walking distance including Sunny Cove with its sand and rocks. It's a pleasant 30-minute walk from the cottage and has superb views across the estuary to Salcombe. Join the South West Coast Path and enjoy spectacular coastal walks around Mill Bay. From there, hop on the ferry to Salcombe, a sailing mecca with boats for hire. The villages of East Prawle and South Pool have tempting cafes and pubs with supermarkets and restaurants in Kingsbridge, ten miles away.
