Harbour Hideaway, Ilfracombe is a comfortable place to spend time when visiting North Devon. Oak beams and a multi-fuel burner in the fireplace add a cosy ambience to the spacious living room of this 18th century fisherman's cottage. French doors open into the bright conservatory with armchairs. There's a dining room and well equipped kitchen with Tissimo coffee maker and breakfast bar for starting the day well. There are two bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms on the first floor (one double, one twin) and a kingsize bedroom with TV and roof terrace access on the top floor.
After a busy day, take a relaxing dip in the hot tub in the courtyard garden. It's a private spot for enjoying leisurely meals of freshly caught crab and seafood from the nearby harbour.
Harbour Hideaway, Ilfracombe is tucked away in the narrow side streets close to the pretty harbour, pubs, Michelin-star restaurants and shops. Walk along the coastal footpath to private Tunnels Beach (fee) or continue on about a mile to Lee Bay, a delightful sandy cove and home of the 14th century Grampus Inn. Ilfracombe has two theatres and gardens where it hosts many festivals. Visit Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur park, Watermouth Castle and the National Trust owned Arlington Court country house, gardens and Carriage Museum.
