Wingate Farm, Countisbury is a newly renovated holiday property in a beautiful area of Exmoor with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. This 19th century farmstead has a spacious living room with L-shaped leather sofa arranged around the logburner and TV. There’s a family-sized kitchen with grey cabinets, dishwasher and a large dining table for family meals. It sleeps eight guests with an Emperor-size bedroom with ensuite, a twin bedroom and a family room (king-size bed and bunk beds) along with a modern family bathroom. Wingate Farm, Countisbury is a modernised farmhouse on a working farm within Exmoor National Park. Ideal for walkers and outdoor enthusiasts, it is close to the Coleridge Way, South West Coast Path and Roman earthworks at “Old Burrow” circa 50AD. Walk to the Blue Ball Inn (four miles) along the “jagged path” or drive ten minutes to Lynton for shops, restaurants, museum and Cliff Railway down to Lynmouth harbour and beach. Further along the coast, pretty Porlock has three pubs and Minehead is a busy town with sandy beach. Families will love Lee Abbey’s sandy beach near the Valley of Rocks (six miles).
