The country-style kitchen has granite worktops, cream cabinets and every appliance you could wish for. It has a breakfast table but you’ll probably dine in the lovely garden with rural and sea views.
After a day exploring the footpaths and villages on Exmoor, stretch out and relax with a glass of your favourite drink in the garden. There’s a table and chairs for al fresco dining too.
The Hayloft, Oare is in a rural location near Malmsmead on Exmoor. The Lorna Doone Arms is a short walk away near the river and packhorse bridge and is perfect for afternoon tea or a meal. The Staghunters Inn three miles away also offers homecooked meals and a range of beers. Porlock with its pebble beach, pubs and shops is a popular coastal village six miles away while Lynton and Lynmouth are delightful towns joined by a Cliff Railway. Enjoy a riverside walk to Watersmeet and the NT Tea House. Minehead (13 miles away) is a thriving town with the best sandy beach in the area and Dunster Castle is well worth a visit.
