Surrounded by farmland, The Furrow, Tedburn St Mary is a converted 16th century longbarn with many retained features from its past including sloping ceilings and weathered timbers. Spread out in the large open-plan living room with woodburning stove and oak floors. The beautifully designed kitchen is ideal for preparing breakfast and family meals. Upstairs, two bedrooms offer a king-size bed with ensuite shower room and a bedroom with twin beds which can be joined to make a 5-foot double. There's a second family bathroom and off-road parking for two cars.
You'll want to spend time in the garden, savouring the scenic views and the sweet smell of honeysuckle and freshly cut hay. Enjoy drinks and a BBQ while children and pets play on the lawn.
Located on a 40-acre sheep farm in rural Devon, The Furrow, Tedburn St Mary is three miles from Dartmoor National Park and seven miles from the lovely cathedral city of Exeter. The village itself has pretty thatched cottages, a church and school room, golf course and two excellent pubs for home-cooked meals including the 16th century Kings Arms. Visit in September for the Tedburn Fair. Crealy Theme Park (15 miles) offers family fun while National Trust-owned Lydford Gorge and Castle Drogo are a short drive away.
