Also a short drive away is Lydford Gorge (14 km), home to the intriguingly named Devil's Cauldron and a 30-metre waterfall. If you fancy seeing the stunning landscape of Bodmin Moor, a 32-kilometre drive across the moor will bring you to Jamaica Inn (32 km). Here you can enjoy a great meal and discover the eerie atmosphere that inspired Daphne De Maurier to write her book and explore the history of smuggling in the attached museum.
