Gemstone Cottage, Brixham is ideal for parking the car and exploring the area on foot. Stroll down to the harbour, passing the Heritage Museum and fish and chip shop on the way. Browse the menu boards of seafood restaurants and cafés which offer excellent harbour views as you dine. It's particularly lovely when lit up after dark. Breakwater Beach with its saltwater pool is a little further along. The coastal path provides endless walks to Berry Head Nature Reserve and St Mary's Bay. Explore historic Dartmouth four miles away and take a boat trip up the River Dart to Agatha Christie's Greenway, now a National Trust property.
