Farthing Cottage makes an excellent base, close to the harbour and beach. Brixham is full of historic buildings and the replica of Drake’s Golden Hind bobbing in the harbour adds to the charm. Berry Head Country Park is nearby with its Napoleonic Fort. It is also home to the shortest lighthouse in England. The National Coastguard Museum, South West Coast Path, Dartmouth Castle and the Heritage Steam Railway offer a choice of interesting things to do.
