Combining historic charm with modern interiors, Birdcage Cottage, Kingsand is a well appointed holiday cottage with exposed brickwork and feature walls. The lofty first floor living room has a comfy L-shaped sofa-bed, warming logburner and tall chimney rising into the cathedral ceiling with velux windows. The irregular shaped dining room has white beams, stripped wood flooring and looks out onto the courtyard garden. Next to it is a well equipped kitchen with stone floor tiles, Belfast sink, range and a dishwasher to take care of washing-up. The upper floors offer two pleasant bedrooms: a king-size master and a double sharing a modern shower room on the ground floor.
The deck is the perfect place to relax on director's chairs with a glass of bubbly and tasty nibbles while discussing where to go for dinner.
Birdcage Cottage is in the pretty coastal village of Kingsand on the Rame Peninsula, just a short walk from the small beach and neighbouring village of Cawsand. The sheltered bay is popular for gig racing, boating and fishing while the village preserves a traditional way of life. Cafes, local stores and gift shops rub shoulders with historic pubs and restaurants lining the narrow streets. It's the ideal base for walking the coastal footpath, visiting Mount Edgcumbe Country Park or surfing at Tregantle Beach, in sight of the historic fort. Torpoint Ferry provides easy access to Plymouth attractions including the Hoe, Barbican, Plymouth Gin Distillery (tours) and boat trips around Plymouth Sound.
