Ancarva, Millbrook is a luxury waterfront retreat overlooking the Tamar estuary with its own mooring and pontoon for fishing, boating and relaxing. Floor to ceiling windows bring the outdoors in with stunning views from the contemporary living room and balcony. The upside-down design has four king-size bedrooms (one can be converted to twin singles) on the lower floor, each with sliding doors to the garden. There are two ensuites plus a shared family bathroom. Not surprisingly, this luxury holiday apartment was listed in the Sunday Times as one of the Top 50 British Cottages.
Fling open the bi-fold doors in the ultra-modern kitchen and enjoy the sights and sounds of the estuary and passing boats. The first floor balcony provides ever-changing views from breakfast through sunset.
Located on the Rame Peninsula near the villages of Millbrook and Kingsand, Ancarva is close to the Mount Edgcumbe estate with its historic home, gardens and extensive parkland bordering the Tamar estuary. Take the passenger ferry from Cremyll or the Torpoint car ferry and you can be in Plymouth in 20 minutes! Enjoy skimming pebbles from the beach below the sea wall or head to one of the nearby sandy coves at Cawsand or Freathy. Walkers can explore the South West Coast Path to Rame Head with its ancient church. Antony is a beautiful National Trust house and gardens four miles away. Further along the coast, Crafthole, Portwrinkle and Downderry offer restaurants, quaint cafés and art studios.
