Walkers can enjoy superb clifftop walks right outside the cottage door. Walk to Housel Bay beach 300 yards away or support the local shops, pubs and amenities in the nearby village of Lizard.
Longships, Lizard Lighthouse on the southernmost tip of mainland Britain on the dramatic Lizard Peninsula. It is a fully working lighthouse with a foghorn which sounds in misty conditions (earplugs provided!). Book a place on the lighthouse tour/a> to learn more about this landmark, established in 1619. Nearby places to visit include Land's End and beautiful Kynance Cove. St Michael's Mount in Marazion (21 miles away) can be reached by tidal causeway before shopping and exploring Penzance. A visit to the clifftop Minack Theatre at Porthcurno is a must!
