The Ridge feels like it’s sitting at the very edge of the world, but it’s only a 500m walk from the centre of Polruan. In the town, you’ll find pubs, shops, restaurants, Polruan Castle and the quay where you can get a ferry across to larger, livelier Fowey. Explore the bustling harbour, vibrant dining scene, aquarium, museum, shops and galleries and visit Readymoney Cove (2 km), overlooked by the ruins of St Catherine’s Castle. Or, back on the Polruan side, walk the coastal path to the stunning National Trust-run beach at Lantic Bay (3 km).
