Glanmor North, Polruan is a characterful three-bedroom stone cottage perfectly positioned overlooking the picturesque waters of Fowey Estuary. The spacious L-shaped kitchen on the first floor features a full range of integrated appliances including electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge / freezer, and dishwasher, everything needed for preparing family meals with fresh local produce. The bright living area welcomes you with comfortable seating arranged around an ornamental fireplace and Smart TV, while the cosy dining area sits conveniently beside French doors opening onto the large terrace. A single bedroom and separate WC complete this level.

Step outside to the generous terrace, a wonderful spot for al fresco dining beneath the awning, surrounded by colourful flowers and shrubs whilst enjoying lovely views across Polruan's working boatyard and the glittering estuary beyond. Upstairs, two beautifully light and spacious king-size bedrooms both offer wonderful sea views: one features an en-suite bathroom with shower over bath, the other an en-suite shower room. Please note there is no designated parking, but a public pay and display car park sits 650 metres away, subject to availability.

Picture lazy mornings on the terrace, coffee in hand, watching boats drift across the sheltered waters whilst the fishing village stirs to life below. Spend sun-drenched days exploring dramatic coastal paths right from your doorstep, then wander to one of Polruan's traditional pubs for locally caught seafood and Cornish ales. As evening settles, return to your waterside retreat, perhaps dining outdoors as the sunset paints the estuary in brilliant shades of amber and rose.

Glanmor North, Polruan places you in the heart of this quintessential Cornish fishing village, with Fowey's historic waterfront just a short ferry ride across the estuary. St Catherine's Castle in Fowey (8 km) is a remarkably preserved 16th-century artillery fort perched on the headland, offering panoramic coastal views, scenic woodland trails, and fascinating historical significance spanning from the Crimean War through to WWII. The Lost Gardens of Heligan in Pentewan (14 km) presents one of Britain's most magical garden restorations, where diverse plant collections flourish alongside carefully recreated Victorian productive gardens, wildlife habitats, and enchanting jungle walks through this captivating blend of horticultural beauty and compelling history. Screech Owl Sanctuary and Animal Park on Goss Moor (21 km) is home to diverse owl species from tiny pygmy owls to magnificent eagle owls, featuring educational talks, breathtaking flying displays, and inspiring wildlife rehabilitation efforts. Trevibban Mill Vineyard in Tredinnick (28 km) welcomes visitors to explore its picturesque vineyard and orchard setting, offering guided tours through the winemaking process, expert-led tastings of award-winning Cornish wines, and a stunning backdrop for special celebrations.

Venture further to discover more of Cornwall's treasures. King Edward Mine Museum in Camborne (48 km) brings Cornwall's legendary tin mining heritage vividly to life through guided underground tours, working machinery demonstrations, and educational exhibits at this award-winning heritage site, offering genuine insight into the industry that shaped the county. Museum of Cornish Life in Helston (52 km) invites you to step through historic Market Buildings and explore three fascinating floors packed with thousands of intriguing objects, from agricultural implements to domestic curiosities, each telling stories of traditional Cornish life. The Tamar Valley Trail from Plymouth to Launceston (53 km) is a magnificent 56-kilometre route winding through an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, revealing historic quays, atmospheric crumbling mines, and diverse wildlife habitats along this scenic river valley steeped in industrial heritage.

The historic market town of Liskeard lies 18 kilometres away, positioned perfectly between the dramatic moorland of Bodmin Moor and Cornwall's beautiful south coast, offering independent shops, traditional markets, and excellent transport links throughout the county. Meanwhile, Newquay sits 33 kilometrers from the cottage. Cornwall's premier surf destination, it boasts golden sandy beaches and captivating coastlines. Voted Best Seaside Town for Families, this laid-back resort combines world-class waves with family-friendly attractions, excellent seafood restaurants, and a vibrant year-round atmosphere that welcomes everyone from serious surfers to bucket-and-spade holidaymakers.
