Experience rural tranquillity and dramatic coastal beauty from this spacious barn retreat

The Grain Store, Crackington Haven is a spacious three-bedroom barn conversion set on a working farm in Cornwall's dramatic North Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The well-equipped kitchen on the first floor features an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge / freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, flowing seamlessly into the open-plan lounge with vaulted ceilings throughout. Comfortable sofas invite you to relax in front of the crackling wood burner whilst watching your favourite films on the Smart TV. The dining area seats eight for memorable meals together, with windows overlooking the enclosed gardens below.

Stepping outside, the private garden wraps around the side and front of the property, mainly lawned with mature shrubs and plants, complete with outdoor seating and a charcoal barbecue for sunny afternoon gatherings. Three bedrooms provide flexible accommodation: a king-size room with en-suite shower room, and two family rooms each featuring a king-size bed and single bed (one with en-suite WC). A family bathroom with freestanding roll-top bath and separate shower completes the layout, whilst parking for two cars sits conveniently to the side.

Picture crisp mornings with coffee overlooking the rolling farmland, the distant murmur of the sea carried on the breeze. Spend your days rambling the spectacular coastal paths that wind along these dramatic cliffs, returning to light the wood burner as afternoon fades to dusk. Later, gather everyone around the dining table for hearty suppers and laughter, the vaulted ceiling echoing with the warmth of shared stories and cherished moments.

The Grain Store, Crackington Haven places you perfectly for exploring Cornwall's legendary north coast and mystical moorland. Tintagel Castle in Tintagel (12 km) draws visitors to its legendary clifftop ruins steeped in Arthurian mythology, where a dramatic footbridge spans the chasm between ancient walls and breathtaking coastal views stretch endlessly in both directions. The Jamaica Inn in Bolventor (19 km) beckons with its fascinating smuggling museum and traditional Cornish hospitality on the edge of wild Bodmin Moor, immortalised in Daphne du Maurier's famous novel. Dragon Archery in Holsworthy (27 km) offers thrilling themed archery ranges combining historical accuracy with fantasy elements, guided by expert instructors who bring medieval marksmanship vividly to life. Padstow Brewing Co in Padstow (32 km) welcomes craft beer enthusiasts with engaging brewery tours and expert-led tastings showcasing their award-winning range of distinctive Cornish ales.

Venture further afield to discover even more of Cornwall's treasures. Westward Waves Surf School in Westward Ho! (45 km) provides expert tuition for all abilities, their friendly instructors ensuring unforgettable experiences riding the Atlantic rollers on this spectacular north Devon coastline. Newquay Zoo (47 km) combines diverse animal exhibits with important conservation work and engaging educational programmes, delighting families whilst supporting vital wildlife protection initiatives. Lost Gardens of Heligan in Pentewan (51 km) reveal an enchanting world of restored Victorian gardens, from exotic jungle valleys to productive kitchen gardens, where wildlife thrives amid the remarkable story of horticultural resurrection.

The vibrant seaside town of Bude sits just 12 kilometres away, where golden sandy beaches meet dramatic cliffs and the unique tidal sea pool offers year-round swimming in Atlantic waters. This classic Cornish resort combines excellent surfing conditions with charming independent shops, welcoming cafes serving cream teas, and coastal walks of exceptional beauty. Meanwhile, St Austell is a 45-kilometre drive. Cornwall's historic china clay capital, the town offers Georgian architecture, excellent shopping, and authentic Cornish pubs serving locally caught seafood.
