Quaint yet comfortable, Salt Loft, Mousehole is an updated fisherman's loft with coastal inspired furnishings to reflect its history and location. This three-storey Grade II listed cottage is a few steps from the seafront. Accessed up a flight of steps from the street, the stable door leads into the living room. Downstairs, the Shaker-style kitchen has ample workspace, a dining table and appliances for home chefs including a dishwasher. The top floor has two bedrooms with deep mattresses and high ceilings. Into the apex of the roof. Two modern bathrooms round off the amenities.
Return home from a day's adventures and make yourself at home in the living room with its stripped wood floors. There's a window seat and twin sofas for relaxing around the fireplace with electric stove feature.
Salt Loft, Mousehole is steps from the pretty harbour, shops and cluster of pubs that serve excellent pub-grub featuring local seafood. There's a small beach in the harbour but for breathtaking white sand and clear turquoise waters, head to Pedn Vounder Beach, 20 minutes' drive away. Hike along the coast path to Lamorna Cove, another Cornish gem that is rarely crowded. The open-air Minack Theatre is a must-do (take cushions!) for its theatrical productions and stunning sea backdrop at sunset. PK Porthcurno preserves the history of the first undersea telegraph cable and Land's End is just around the corner (ten miles).
