Dating back around 400 years, Nan-Tis, St Issey is a charming Cornish stone cottage crammed with original wood beams, slate floors, an original clay oven and a cosy woodburner warming the living / dining room. The modern white kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering with a breakfast table, dishwasher, freezer and washing machine. After a busy day, sleep dreamlessly beneath the eaves. There’s a ground floor bedroom with kingsize bed plus a twin, single and family room (double and single beds) upstairs. It has extensive gardens, parking and rural views.
Children can enjoy seeing the animals at the adjoining farm and exploring the traffic-free Camel Trail on foot or two wheels. Bring pasties home for tea in the garden.
Nan-Tis, St Issey is in a superb location for enjoying the area. Hike or cycle beside the scenic Camel River – the rail-trail (two miles away) connects Padstow with Bodmin Moor. Padstow is known for its celebrity chef seafood restaurants, boat trips, galleries and sea fishing charters. Camel Creek Adventure Park (two miles) is popular with families or enjoy surfing and watersports at Constantine Bay and Polzeath. Hike the dramatic South West Coast Path or experience local life in Wadebridge (four miles) with its cafes, shops and pubs. Bodmin Gaol and Courtroom Experience, Newquay Zoo and Blue Reef Aquarium are all a short drive away.
