Swallow Barn is a semi-detached holiday cottage with history. Converted from a former Victorian barn, it has retained its rural charm with all the added benefits of 21st century features. It is surprisingly bright and cosy, thanks to the lofty ceilings, skylight, central heating and wood burning stove in the spacious sitting room. Prepare tasty meals in the modern kitchen which has fully retractable doors and dine outdoors in the pretty south-facing garden while drinking in the serene countryside views. After all this fresh air you’ll sleep well in the king-size double bedroom with its whitewashed walls. The contemporary bathroom includes a walk-in shower and corner bath for bubbly soaks.
Make time to chill out and release everyday stress is in the Japanese wood-fired hot tub in the private back garden. Sit back and stare at the star-studded sky after dark or enjoy quiet conversation and laughter with your partner.
Swallow Barn is in the Cornish village of St Kew, which is large enough to have a 15th century church, friendly village pub with beer garden, and a golf course. Walkers and cyclists will find miles of scenic footpaths in the surrounding countryside, along the traffic-free Camel Trail, the South West Coast Path and on Bodmin Moor. Idyllic Port Isaac is four miles away and you’ll be spoilt for choice with sandy coves and surfing beaches including Polzeath and Lundy Bay. Bodmin has excellent shopping, pubs, and an Old Jail.
