Dorey, Appledore is a lovely mid-terrace cottage set in the quaint streets of a traditional small Devonshire fishing village. This Victorian holiday home has three bedrooms and sleeps seven. It retains some of the original architectural features, including the original Victorian tiled vestibule.
The large open-plan living area integrates seamlessly with the kitchen and dining area and is flooded with light from the lantern ceiling. French doors lead out of the living area to Dorey, Appledore’s private courtyard terrace. Here you can enjoy al-fresco living as you take in the uninterrupted views across the estuary and out to sea.
The village still has an active shipbuilding business at Appledore Shipyards, making it a great place to sample some of the area’s nautical past. Dorey, Appledore is a great base from which to explore nearby Westward Ho! and Bideford.
