The nearest beach is Bude (17 miles) with its saltwater pool, cafés and quay. Explore inland on foot, by kayak or stand-up paddleboard along the scenic Bude Canal. Head to Hartland Point and take a helicopter trip to Lundy Island or explore the lovely Abbey, gardens and church. Spend a day in the traffic-free coastal village of Clovelly or head to Bideford (18 miles) with its shops, park and quay. Nearby Appledore is a warren of narrow streets with restaurants and galleries.
