Little more than a hamlet, Mawgan Porth lies in a lush valley midway between Newquay & Padstow. Nearby is Watergate Bay, a huge stretch of golden sand.

The nearest beach to Mawgan Porth is Watergate Bay, a huge stretch of golden sand with plenty of space for surfing, kite surfing, land yachting and wave skiing. Porthcovan is a beautiful beach for families to enjoy and Treyarnon has a natural swimming pool with rock pool and caves just begging to be explored.

Visit neighbouring St Mawgan, a pretty village with a 14th century parish church and the Convent of Lanherne. The old bridge is the site of an ancient ford. Walk the Vale of Lanherne Trail, explore the stunning coastal path to Carnewas Island or pay a visit to beautiful Bedruthan Steps, a series of columns said to be created by a giant.
